Craigslist Employment - Full-Time & Part-Time Jobs

Craigslist Jobs

Jobs on Craigslist Changed the Hiring Industry

Craigslist only charges to post jobs in 19 out of 570 cities, a little over three percent. For the most part posting jobs on Craigslist is completely free, and this not only hurts competing sites like Monster.com, Jobing.com and Careerbuilder.com but also continues to threaten their business livelihood.

Craigslist has slowly added more paid cities over the years since they first required payment for Los Angeles and New York back on August 1, 2004. Rather Craigslist will add more paid cities is currently unknown.

Craigslist Job Search

Craigslist is a great tool to help find a job, however the prospective job seeker should be leery of some commons job scams. (Click here for more info)

It is also common to find MLM and business opportunities in the job section, so be mindful for these type of ads. If you are not interested in these types of ventures try to spot them before spending your time going to the "interview" or meeting with the recruiter. If the ad or the person on the phone is vague about how the position is paid, where the office is located, how many positions are available and other basic job type questions, it is likely one of these.

How to Post a Job on Craigslist

Posting a job on Craigslist is almost identical to posting any other classified ad, with a few additional fields to complete. The only difference is if you are posting a job in one of the paid cities. (Click here For more info)
